The Social Studies Department at West Allis Central High School offers a solid core of required courses and a diverse array of electives at multiple levels to appeal to all our students. Ninth grade students are required to take a full year of 20th Century History. Sophomores must take World History which is also available as an Advanced Placement course. All students must take Civics as either a junior or a senior. Advanced Placement Government and Politics may be substituted for Civics. Sociology, Economics, Geography, and International Relations are available as elective courses. We also offer Advanced Placement Psychology, Advanced Placement European History, and Advanced Placement United States History.
